Description
Brickworks Says - Arranged over the two uppermost floors of a handsome Victorian terraced house, this flat has a luxe bohemian vibe that is homely and inviting.
Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen/dining room has built-in seating, reclaimed parquet wood floors, exposed brick walls, and earthy ceramic tiles. The bright main bedroom suite (complete with roll-top bath) stretches out under two skylights and offers built-in wardrobes and storage under the eaves. Downstairs there is a quiet second bedroom (perfect for guests or a work-from-home space) and an ingeniously designed shower room that maximises the available space.
Then there's that roof terrace. Drenched in sunlight from dawn to dusk and completely private, providing an enchanting view over rooftops. It also overlooks the downstairs garden, which blooms with peonies and roses throughout the spring and summer.
This gorgeous home is neatly positioned in the middle of Stoke Newington, Clapton, and Hackney Downs. The indie shops, foodie-favourite restaurants, and lively pubs of Stoke Newington High and Church Streets are on the doorstep, as are the green spaces of Hackney Downs, Clissold Park, and Abney Park. Transport is covered too. Rectory Road station is at one end of the street, and Clapton station is at the other, which puts Liverpool Street and the City about 20 minutes from the doorstep.
The Owners Say - We have loved living in this flat so very much. It is full of light and feels so spacious whilst also being cosy. We love our morning coffees sitting on our window seat with the treetop views, and the rooftop terrace gets sun all day and is perfect for sunset drinks. And, of course, taking a bath under the skylight is pure heaven.
We are hoping to stay in the area—it is such a wonderful part of London with a strong community, great transport connections, and plenty of local, independent businesses.
