Description

Betwixt and between Dalston and Stoke Newington, this two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment embraces the industrial and is carefully designed for urban living.

Brickworks Says - Not all new-builds are created equal, and this block, along a road of Victorian terraces, stands out for all the right reasons. Distinctly designed, it’s got space, light and quirky detail, but it’s the use of materials that gives it an edge. The bare concrete ceilings and panels throughout provide warmth and texture that bring the flat to life.

In the generous living space, the concrete is a pleasing contrast to the white of the kitchen, but in keeping with minimalist look and feel. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows invite you to the terrace, which has the sense of being enclosed from the elements. The concrete continues through the good-sized bedrooms, both of which open onto a small patio-cum-lightwell for maximum natural light. And to make sure you can maintain the minimalist aesthetic, there’s an abundance of built-in storage.

Belgrade Road is on the doorstep of not one, but two eclectic neighbourhoods. To the south, Dalston has all the ingredients for a good time - diverse and delicious cuisine, cultural spaces and plenty of places to shake your tail feather. Alternatively, head northward to Stokey for relative peace and quiet, where laid-back lunching, meandering and browsing independent shops are the order of the day.

The Owners Say - We have had a very happy few years living in the flat; we love the exposed concrete, high ceilings and big living space, which is perfect for entertaining. It is a fantastic location - just off the high street which is great for getting around, but is also on a lovely quiet residential street.

The neighbours in the building are all very friendly and the road generally shares a good sense of community. We will miss the flat, but love it so much we’re staying in the area.
