@RightmoveAddict joins Estate Agents in showing – It’s the Season of Giving

Christmas is the season of giving, and one thing is for sure, estate agents have big hearts.  Over the last year I have seen such a massive display of support by agents for local and national charities.

I recently received a tweet from a company called Complete My Sale asking if I would support their, “Trust me, I’m An Estate Agent” campaign.

The campaign involved Complete My Sale sending me a secret package which contained a T-shirt printed with “Trust Me, I’m  An Estate Agent”.  The instructions with the T-Shirt requested I to take a photo of myself wearing the T-Shirt and post the photo on Twitter on a specific day. Complete My Sale pledged £5 for every T-Shirt photo added to twitter.  It was so simple so how could I not get involved.

On Friday 22 November, I like many other agents tweeted a photo of myself wearing the Complete my Sale T-Shirt. Throughout the day the #TrustMe T-shirts seemed to dominate Twitter, with an unprecedented number of estate agents supporting and retweeting each other’s photo – in what is usually a highly competitive industry, many estate agents put this aside for the day to help promote the cause.

Josh McGann, Director of Complete My Sale told me:
“We could not believe how much support we received on Friday for our Kids Kidney Research campaign, we are completely overwhelmed. This charity is very close to us personally as one of the other directors son’s is affected by the condition and the support Kids Kidney Research have provided has been incredible. We would like to thank every single estate agent for taking part, and for all the estate agents who supported the campaign.”

Complete My Sale provides long term support to Kids Kidney Research, a UK charity dedicated to researching the best treatments and therapies for babies and children with kidney problems; they hope to raise over £1,000 for the charity with this campaign.
