Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £160,260. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £217,940 and detached properties averaged at £377,939.
Cumbria, with an overall average price of £233,300, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£226,636), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£209,771) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£270,032). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Grasmere (£773,000) and the cheapest was Millom (£116,383).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were similar to the year before and similar to 2022 when they averaged at £236,011.
