Most of the sales in Cumbria over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £154,753. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £210,846 and detached properties averaged at £380,372.
Cumbria, with an overall average price of £227,426, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Merseyside (£216,536), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£201,946) and cheaper than Greater Manchester (£259,316). The most expensive area within Cumbria was Hawkshead (£835,000) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£109,214).
In the past year house prices in Cumbria were 3% down on the year before and 3% up on 2021 when they averaged at £221,519.
