Woolhampton is an historic and picturesque village located along the A4, about halfway between Reading and Newbury, it is also convenient for both J12 and J13 of the M4.

Due to its location on the Bath Road, Woolhampton was well served by Coaching Inns. Today, a public house remains alongside the main road, and the Rowbarge next to the swing bridge on the Kennet and Avon Canal has a great reputation for good hearty pub fare.

The Canal passes through the village which provides pleasant waterside and country walks.

Albany House is conveniently situated near the centre of the village. It is only a few minutes’ walk from Midgham Railway station which offers hourly trains to both Reading and Newbury. From Reading, there are further onward connections for The Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express and a fast service (approx. 25 minutes) to London Paddington.

Woolhampton has its own Church of England Primary School and Theale Green Secondary School is a short drive away. There is a good selection of Private schools in the local area too, which include The Elstree School in Upper Woolhampton, Pangbourne College and Bradfield College.
