The Santa Catarina Private Condominium is widely recognized and valued for its architecture and excellence in finishes.

The architectural project is signed by the Pessoa Prize in 2008, João Luís Carrilho da Graça, who planned 19 exclusive apartments, all different from each other, with typologies from T1 to T5 and with areas ranging from 130m2 to 450m2 and a private parking with 35 places.

The aesthetics, despite being contemporary and avant-garde, respected the pre-existences: the facades of the building dating from the end of the 18th century were maintained, preserving the neo-classical style that characterizes it.

According to the architect himself, “the load-bearing walls were kept in lime and stone masonry, and the ceilings were high. The slabs were renovated with wooden beams and a thin layer of reinforced concrete”. The original structure of wooden beams and flooring was also maintained, with the aim of guaranteeing effective thermal and acoustic insulation.

It was distinguished with Oscar do Imobiliário 2010, best development of the year in the housing category.
