Akarca is situated between Feyjiye and Cails at the West entrance of Fethiye and is one of the most popular areas with ex-pats for year-round permanent living.
There is plenty to do including restaurants, cafes, bars, and shopping. The nearest beaches are in the Calis area the 4km long beach and the promenade here have many restaurants with lots of different cuisines.
Beachside is full of bars, cafes, and of course hotels.
Calis Beach is also famous for its spectacular sunsets and many people come to witness them.
The park in Calis at the end of the promenade has many birds living in their natural habitat.
Here is the breeding ground for the Carretta turtles.
