Built on the ruins of a 13th century monastery, this wonderful Venetian estate dates back to 1750 and is known as the most famous and romantic of all the Corfiot Grand Estates - a true jewel in the crown. Until the end of the 19th century, olives were cultivated on the land and until the end of 2nd world war, the area enjoyed a feudal system - inhabitants of the farms dotted around the estate all paid allegiance to the Lord of the Manor.
