Emma’s experience……….

I became a Letting Agent in my late teens, quite literally by accident……. my father Paul Hodgson founded Paul Property Services of Topsham which he ran very successfully for over 20 years before retiring, during the summers months my father announced that if I wanted the car I had my eye on I would have to work for it………. hence my initiation into the lettings market.

Since that first day I have worked in the lettings market, I had always been interested in property and what better way to view properties than to be a letting agent. The properties I have viewed over the years have been varied to say the least and the running of a letting agents obviously brings its own challenges.

I set up Total Letting 18 years ago and have gradually established a loyal client base mainly by recommendation which has proved to be the best possible advert an agent can have. I asked some of my long term clients to right a review in their own words which can be perused in the review section of the website.

Six years ago I took a step back from the business to spend some time with my daughter which is when the second core member of the team joined Total Letting, Tracy is the lettings manager and runs the business alongside me.

Now that my daughter ‘is entirely independent at the ripe old age of six’ the time is right to dive back into work and continue expanding the business.
