São Martinho do Porto is a pearl in the silver coast. A small but beautiful village with shell-shaped bay, still retaining the charm of its old roots as a fisherman town with small bungalows and narrow streets. It provides a calm waveless 3 km beach front with great accessibility, ideal for relaxing.
There are two less known beaches north, Gralha and Salgado, open to the Atlantic with larger waves, the last one famous as the paragliding capital of Portugal. Heading south, Salir do Porto river beach boasts the larger Portuguese dune and offers a glimpse at the rich history of the country with ruins from the 15th century.

Caldas da Rainha is an artistic city in the central region, located close to exquisite coastal beaches and known by its thermal springs. It has incredible accessibility and, as it is mostly flat, offers great quality of life. It has a traditional city centre with cobbled streets, a vibrant fruit and vegetable market, and a bustling shopping area. The city centre boasts a park with an artificial lake, one of the most biodiverse in the country. Every Monday morning there is a thrift market where locals go for bargains. Nine museums, including the pottery museum housed inside a beautiful former palace, celebrate its century old traditions and art.
The rural landscapes on the outskirts of town offer stunning views of rolling hills, lush farmland, and orchards of oranges, olives, apples, and pears.
