"St George is a family area in East Bristol with a strong sense of community. I've loved living here and Jubilee Road is so friendly – we have our own WhatsApp group! There are quite a lot of houses with young families here but there are older residents too. There are several good primary schools (Summerhill, Air Balloon) within 10 minutes walk, and a good choice of nurseries and childminders.
Just few minutes walk away from Jubilee Road on Church Road there are plenty of shops, lovely cafes and restaurants: The Lock Up, Grounded, Loaf, The Crafty Egg, Siam Smile. And quite a few pubs, as well as a really good deli (Southville Deli), several Eastern European shops (with an interesting range of biscuits and cold meats) and Preserve which is dedicated to reducing the use of plastic.
St George is rich in big outdoor spaces within easy reach. There's St George Park with the lake and the skate park, Trooper’s Hill Nature Reserve, and the path along the river that leads to the Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve and of course Beese’s Riverside Bar. Transport links into the Centre are good and the nearest bus stop is 3 minutes away"
