Freehold

Description

Delightful three double bedroom bay-fronted Victorian terrace of 1206 square feet (excluding cellar and loft spaces). A low-maintenance garden completes the package.

Find your new house on a quiet, residential, tree-lined street in Nunhead, bordering Peckham. Enjoy what both towns have to offer!

For stations, you are positioned between a choice of three: Nunhead (8 minutes), Queens Road Peckham (8 minutes) and Peckham Rye (14 minutes). All are Zone 2 and the latter two offer London Overground services, while Nunhead delivers handy Thameslink services.

A small front garden sets the house back from the pavement. Once in, your double-reception is set to your left, with pale carpets underfoot, an attractive fireplace to the front room (which is over 13 feet by over 11 feet), and a custom-made entertainment unit/storage in your second reception: the natural snug.

Access your large and light kitchen/dining room from here or from the hall (noting a little w.c. plus access to the cellar). This runs 19 feet to French doors to the garden (a lovely picture window impresses too, as do Veluxes). Timeless smart Shaker-style units are paired with wooden worktops. Further welcome features include stripped floors and open-shelving.

Up to the first floor and the master bedroom is at the front of the house - of 15 feet by nearly 11, with gorgeous bespoke wardrobes to its alcoves.

Adjacent is a second double bedroom - of over 11 feet by over 9 feet - with garden views.

From the half-landing, the property's windowed bathroom (which has been recently-renovated) has a neat white suite, over bath shower and smart tiling.

Your third bedroom has a double-aspect and is over 14 feet by over 8 feet. Loft space is accessible from the landing - neighbours have 'gone up' - it is an option should you fancy another bedroom and bathroom once-in.

Kids or thinking of? Edmund Waller Primary is close and popular with local families, and Banana Moon Day Nursery is popular for smaller ones, on nearby Machell Road.

Local green spaces include the Telegraph Hill Parks, Peckham Rye Park and Common, and Nunhead's beautiful Victorian cemetery.

The area around Queens Road Peckham Station is busy with established and new places to eat and drink. We like Kudu's outlets, Mamma Dough, Peckham Cellars, Beer Rebellion, Well & Fed, and Blackbird Bakery.

Nunhead Lane is also a short walk for independent shops and cafes etc. - including Ayre's bakery, Soper's wet fish shop, Goodcup/Goodnights, Mother Superior and El Vermut (bottle shops), and BARD4100. And Peckham Bazaar on nearby Consort Road is a great spot for Balkan food.

The Bussey Building and Copeland Park are also a short walk for the trendiest of pop-up eateries, drinkeries, exhibitions and the like. Check out trendy Peckham Levels, too.

The 'triangle' at the end of Peckham Rye Park and Common's 113 acres is also bustling with places to spend your pennies; Pedler, Mr Bao and Banh Banh being a handful.

Bellenden Road, Choumert Road, Blenheim Grove and Rye Lane provide more food and drink options (we love Miss Tapas, Artusi, The Begging Bowl and Ganapati) and Peckham Plex Cinema is a long-established favourite, committed to films with accessible ticket prices (£5,99).

Camberwell, New Cross and Deptford are also no great distance for further options.
