The building dates back to the 17th century and has been a public house and an inn for hundreds of years. The Radcliffes of Hitchin Priory were Lords of the Manor and held their Courts Baron throughout the nineteenth century and well into the twentieth century at the Bull Inn in Gosmore.

The property has full planning permission and listed building consent for change of use from the public house to a residential home comprising a four-bed dwelling and associated landscaping and erection of carport/storage. Copies of the plans are available on request.
