Ferinquarrie is a south facing crofting township in the popular Glendale area on the Duirinish peninsula in the northwest of Skye.

Portree has the high school for the Island. More shops and some excellent restaurants and a much loved cake shop and bakery can be found in Dunvegan which is 8 miles from Glendale
