Description
Felton is a historic village full of charm and character. The fabulous Northumberland Arms pub and the renowned Running Fox Café and Bakery are only minutes away and serve some of Northumberland finest produce including artisan breads, pies and cakes. There is also a village shop and post office, doctors. A few miles away is the championship golf course at Burgham Park Golf and Leisure Club but if golf isn’t to your taste then there are plenty of stunning walks around the villages as well as areas of the Coquet which are considered a fishery of national importance. There are excellent transport links between the major market towns of Alnwick and Morpeth.
Externally, the gardens are both securely fenced to allow children and family pets to play safely. The front garden is mainly laid to lawn with a path leading to the front door which is accessed via a couple of steps. The internal hallway, with a window to the side allowing plenty of natural light, offers a warm welcome with stairs leading to the first floor and various doors leading off. The space has been finished with LVT wood-look flooring which creates a sleek and stylish feel. The cupboard beneath the stairs offers beneficial storage and a cleverly positioned guest WC, accessed via a concertina door, comprises a wall-hung hand wash basin, a concealed-cistern toilet with a push button behind, and an extractor fan.
With a beautiful inglenook fireplace, that's calling out for a stove or fire to be put inside, forming an attractive focal point, the lounge is an inviting space in which you can spend time relaxing with family and friends. A large bay window capturing a pleasant aspect to the front also illuminates the laminate-type flooring which completes this room.
A door leads from here into the kitchen-diner where there is plenty of space to sit and dine whilst a good amount of natural light enters via a window looking towards the garden room and beyond to the rear garden. The kitchen offers ample wall and base units with a solid wood dark grey painted door complemented by a light grey worksurface and white splashback tiling. There is a bowl and a half stainless steel sink, space for a free-standing cooker and space for a American style fridge freezer. The beautiful garden room leads from here and offers a superb additional living space taking full advantage of the views of the rear garden courtesy of its many windows. A door provides access to a decked area which leads down into the main part of the garden.
Taking the stairs to the first floor, the landing opens out to three bedrooms and the family bathroom. A window at the top of the stairs allows for natural light and there is loft access available with a fitted ladder within.
The primary bedroom is a spacious double with a window taking advantage of the elevated views to the front of the property. The shaped wall, which would previously have housed a fireplace, forms a pleasant feature.
Bedroom 2 is another good-sized double with an enjoyable aspect to the front. This room offers a large walk-in cupboard.
Bedroom 3 is a double room with a shaped wall, matching that of the primary bedroom, and a window overlooking the rear garden. All the rooms are carpeted with a grey carpet and are all well-presented light, bright and restful rooms.
The family bathroom is spacious and comprises a close-coupled toilet with a push button, a white bath with a waterfall shower head and a separate shower head over behind a glass shower screen, a pedestal wash hand basin with large splashback tiling behind extending to the bath and shower area. A chrome heated towel rail ensures added comfort and a window to the rear allows for natural light.
The rear garden is accessed via a level access from the side of the property. The garden is a wonderful outside space, incorporating a fully integrated trampoline in addition to offering an ideal space in which to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the day.
