Connah's Quay is, like many other conurbations, is an area of two distinct halves. The older part of the town is to be found forming part of the Deeside coastal strip at the bottom of the hill and offers all the usual facilities of a small town.....while the higher up the hill we go, the newer and fresher the homes seem to be.
This particular development is sited right on the edge of the built up area, offering the best of both worlds. It remains within easy reach of the huge Morrison's and its accompanying array of smaller shops, while being even closer to open countryside for when those cobwebs need blowing away.
Needless to say, it also offers easy access to major routes to all local centres of employment, making the grind of the daily commute as easy as it can ever be.
To the front of the home is an open plan style lawn while beside this is a broad parking area, suitable for at least two vehicles....four if you drive Smart cars... A wooden fence separates the parking area from the garden, with a pedestrian gate set into it giving access to the rear garden.
Opening the modern composite semi glazed front door and stepping into the hallway, the first door on our left reveals the ever useful downstairs cloakroom, with its lavatory and clever wall mounted unitary hand basin. The home's main fuse box is located in here, conveniently positioned at eye height meaning an end to groping about in the dark when something trips out.
Adjacent to here, overlooking the front aspect and featuring a continuation of the attractive light grey laminate flooring from the hall, is the lounge. This is a lovely bright room, courtesy of the front facing windows, and offers space for some large furniture that so in vogue today. At the rear of the room is a door to the kitchen / diner.
This is a very decent sized room, doing exactly what it says on the tin, a kitchen/diner. It is large enough to accommodate a full sized six place dining table without cramping the kitchen at all, something of a rarity in three bed semis in this price range!. The kitchen has stylish fitted units filling three of the walls and which contain all the space necessary for modern technology that the discerning chef needs to produce his/ her latest masterpiece, along with plentiful storage and work surfaces.
Another door in the dining area opens into the void beneath the stairs, again providing the perfect place to hide away all the detritus that every home gathers, but no one wants on show. Opposite here is a large set of patio doors that open out into the rear garden.
Here a patio runs the full width of the home before becoming a path leading around the side of the building to the back gate. Beside this is a diamond shaped lawn which at the corner of the home opens out once again into the far larger triangular lawn of the main garden. Substantial fences surround the whole space, while the positioning of the surrounding homes means it is not overlooked at all, making it a nice private spot for relaxing.
Returning indoors and climbing the stairs, we turn to the front of the home to find the smallest of the bedrooms. This is a very generously proportioned room, unlike many in homes of this type and would make a comfortable single room with ample space for free standing furniture along with a single bed.
Adjacent to here and also overlooking the front of the home the second bedroom which is definitely a double room, as shown by the presence of a double bed. There is plenty of space for an accompanying formal dressing table and a free standing wardrobe and offers far reaching views from the home's elevated position.
Moving back along the landing we come to the family bathroom with its practical and attractive water resistant flooring. The modern contemporary suite in here comprises a pedestal hand basin, lavatory and traditional bath, the latter with a twin headed rain shower above.
Finally, at the head of the landing we come to the principal bedroom which, as you would expect is by far the largest of the three. In here is enough space for twin bedside cabinets flanking the double bed, while storage is amply catered for by fitted wardrobes which completely fill one wall and to be honest, if you own more clothes than will fit in here, you have a problem I cannot help you with.

All in all this home represents the best that Connah's Quay has on offer. It is close enough take advantage of all its facilities but far enough into suburbia to remain a separate entity giving the feel of a smaller community and is well positioned to access the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The home itself is in immaculate condition, as are its neighbours and with the convenience of the nearby children's play area, is an ideal venue for a growing family. So if it is a modern three bedroom family home that you're after, then this one is well worth your attention.
