Located within the old police house and fire station at the west gate of Woolwich Dockyard, is Commonwealth Studios. Our family owned and managed premises provides a unique blend of history, functionality, and community, tailored to meet the needs of local professionals and small business owners.

Whether your passion is creative, musical, or entrepreneurial, we have a studio to suit your needs. Situated conveniently by Warspite Road, buses 177, 180, 472 stop directly outside the premises connecting easily to Greenwich station and Woolwich Arsenal station. The premises is a 5-minute walk from Woolwich Dockyard train station too.

Each studio is unique, so we encourage you to contact us to discuss your requirements and our availability. Most studios feature a private tea station, and some also include en-suite facilities. For those without, our communal restrooms are maintained to the highest standard.

The building itself is a converted fire station! Originally built in the 1840s it has lovely features like sash windows, high ceilings, vaulted chimneys and an internal courtyard.

We love nothing more than working with small businesses full of ambition and seeing them thrive. We have some very longstanding tenants at Commonwealth Studios who have been renting in the building for 10 years or more.
