Description

Description

The building dates from the Victorian period and was formed by merging two large villas to create the hotel that stands today. The hotel's excellent location within Torquay makes it a popular choice for leisure guests visiting the area, with the hotel attracting both private leisure and group coach bookings.

The hotel benefits from excellent facilities including a restaurant and bar as well as two large functions rooms which can seat up to 200 guests, although our client has chosen not to host functions in recent years and has predominantly focused the restaurant on serving resident guests. Our client has chosen to close the hotel for the winter months as of October 2024, with the view to reopening in 2025 for the season. The hotel business has significant opportunities to grow should a new owner wish to develop these underutilised areas of the business and trade year round.

The hotel has benefitted various improvements in recent years, including the creation of six new bedroom suites.
