The nearby village of Odiham offers a range of shops and amenities including doctors, optician and dentists, as well as a Post Office, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and a weekly Friday market. More comprehensive shopping and recreational facilities can be found in Basingstoke and Farnham.

Local and regional communications are excellent with access to the M3 (Junction 5 and 6) about 4 miles away, while Basingstoke, Hook and Winchfield mainline railway stations provide fast and regular services to London Waterloo.
