Description

This stunning four-bedroom home, built circa 1895, is located on the desirable Fengates Road, and was one of the first houses to grace this highly popular residential street. Bursting with charm, the property boasts a wealth of period features that give it a timeless appeal.

As you approach the house, the charming façade catches the eye with its classic bay window and original sash windows, offering a glimpse of the elegance inside. Stepping into the home, you'll find intricate cornicing adorning the ceilings, providing a touch of grandeur.

The ground floor boasts a welcoming, cosy living room complete with a large bay window, perfect for letting in natural light, and an open fireplace, ideal for chilly evenings. The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully designed with modern living in mind. Featuring French doors that open out onto a beautifully landscaped and mature garden, this space seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. The garden itself offers a high level of privacy, making it a perfect retreat for relaxing or entertaining. Adjacent to the kitchen is a practical utility room, only installed early 2024, with side access, ideal for day-to-day convenience, and there is also a well-positioned downstairs toilet.

The property offers a basement which is currently being utilised as storage space. STPP and with some imagination, this could be converted into useable living space.

Upstairs, the family bathroom serves four generously sized bedrooms, all well-proportioned and filled with character. The loft offers excellent potential for further expansion, again subject to planning permission (STPP), making this home adaptable to future needs.

Location-wise, Fengates Road sits equidistant from both Redhill and Reigate, offering the best of both worlds. Redhill provides excellent transport links with direct trains to London, while Reigate is known for its vibrant nightlife and community feel. Redhill common is a stones throw.

We've loved living in this house in such a fantastic area surrounded by great neighbours and everything we've needed. In the time we've lived here, we've enjoyed the versatility of the house as it's grown with us as our lives have changed from a newly married couple moving in to becoming a warm family home. Since we moved in it's been a house where we would regularly entertain with parties both inside and outside in the garden. This is where we've raised our family with our children growing up in the house and enjoying the nearby local schools. The area is so friendly with its regular street parties, easter egg hunts, curry nights and other socials. We're so lucky to have Redhill Common nearby where we've enjoyed so many family adventures and good times with friends who can't believe it's on our doorstep.
