One Dalhousie has a lovely location next to farmland near the edge of Bonnyrigg. This is a bustling, friendly town that has a great position in the heart of the Midlothian countryside.

It offers a good selection of local shops, including a chemist, bank and post office. There's a Tesco's supermarket a short drive away, while a wide range of high- street stores (including Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's) are at the nearby Straiton Retail Park (home to IKEA).

There are lots of local amenities too. Bonnyrigg boasts a good selection of nurseries and primary schools, alongside the well-regarded Lasswade High School. It also has a great pool, spa and gym along with a range of other sports facilities. There are three local golf courses and a nearby equestrian centre where you can learn how to ride. You can even take to the slopes at the nearby Hillend Ski Centre.

The surrounding countryside is full of places to explore - including the world- famous Rosslyn Chapel - and great country pubs and restaurants to enjoy. While the Pentland hills, which lie just to the west, are also perfect for hiking or just walking the dog.

Bonnyrigg has excellent transport links. Edinburgh's bypass is just over two
miles away and there are excellent bus connections into the city. Finally, thanks to the new Borders Railway Line you can catch a train from nearby Eskbank and be in the city in about 18 minutes.
