Description

Located on the edge of the lovely village of Clynder, just off the main shore road and overlooking the Gare Loch, The Soundings is a lovely modern development of terraced homes. Number 16 enjoys one of the best positions, enjoying fantastic uninterrupted views over the water. The Soundings backs onto mature woodland and there is plenty of private parking for residents and visitors in the centre of the development.

The property is in immaculate condition throughout, both inside and out and affords well kept, easy maintenance gardens to the front and rear. From the parking area, a path leads down to the back door and on one side of the path, there is a timber fence and on the other, a gently terraced gravelled area leading down to a large utility shed adjacent to the back door. The front garden enjoys the water views and is also gravelled, with a slabbed path leading from the pavement on the main road up to the front door.

On entering from the front, an outer vestibule opens into the open plan lounge that has a large picture window overlooking the loch. A staircase from here ascends to the upper floor and a door at the rear leads into the large, bright and open plan dining room and kitchen. The kitchen has been fitted with attractive timber wall and base units and comes with a range of modern appliances. From the dining room, a door and full height window provide great natural light and open out to the rear garden. Upstairs, the landing has a large built-in cupboard and gives access to two double bedrooms (master bedroom to the front, overlooking the loch) and a good sized single bedroom (again, to the front). The large family bathroom has been refitted with a modern suite that includes a bath, separate shower, wc and wash hand basin. Electric heating and full double glazing.

The location of the Soundings is great, with easy access to local amenities found nearby. There is a Co-op convenience store in the adjoining village of Rosneath, along with a good primary school, and in the other direction, Garelochhead provides a wider selection of amenities, and is only a ten minute drive away. There are shops, cafes, a health centre, another primary school and train station in Garelochhead. The larger town of Helensburgh (which is approximately twenty minutes’ away) provides even more amenities, with supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafes, along with train stations and primary and secondary schools. Located on the eastern side of the Rosneath Peninsula, the property is also within easy commuting distance of Glasgow, Loch Lomond is close by and some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery is just a short drive away.
