Every couple of years it gets really exciting on the High Street when the community comes together to celebrate the Haslemere Charter Fair, a family friendly event that has been running since 1393 and involves live music, fairground style attractions and other entertainment.

Recreational Activities

The countryside around Haslemere is absolutely breathtaking, so if you are looking for somewhere to ride your bike or walk the dog you will be spoilt for choice. The Devil's Punchbowl near Hindhead is a particularly good place to explore and the deep curve of the natural amphitheatre gives you some amazing views of the local landscape.

There's plenty to do and see closer to home, too. For natural history buffs there's the Haslemere Education Museum, which has more than 140,000 artefacts from around the world on show.
