Designed by architects Snailum, Huggins and Lefevre, work on the construction of the Snow Hill estate began in 1952 and in 1956 the first two blocks to be completed, Dover House and Walcot House, won the architects a Royal Institute of British Architects award. The estate was completed in 1968. Major roof replacement works on this block were completed in 2019 (original copper roof replaced with grey zinc)
