The Anchor is a longer stroll away and provides a great range of drinks and has a fantastic children's play area but around the back through the alleyways you will come across the Dog & Partridge (privately run) which provides an excellent range of ales, lagers and wines as well as its famed Sunday roasts. The White Lion over the road from the Dog is part of a chain and is just as popular. You can walk to one of the local gym that also provides swimming facilities. Believe it or not you can also walk to numerous schools including two private schools, Yateley Secondary and Westfields, Newlands and Cranford Park Junior schools.

In the car and only a short driveway, though you could walk if you wanted to, you will find another pharmacy, two more medical practices and a Waitrose supermarket. Further afield you will come across other private schools and The Meadows shopping centre providing a massive M & S, Tesco Superstore and Next.

Living in Yateley means that you are surrounded by countryside and lakes some of which are world famous for their fish. Both lakes provide sailing facilities and other water sports. There are acres and acres of beautiful countryside, local stables and The Green all in walking distance.
