From the 360º viewpoint, you can see the Alentejo plain to Serra de São Mamede and Serra de São Miguel, as well as the surrounding area.
It is located in a privileged area representing the agricultural wealth of the region.
Fronteira is located on the left bank of the Avis river, north of the city of Estremoz and southwest of the city of Portalegre.
The remains of human occupation date back more than 10.000 years, with several megalithic monuments, including about 30 tapirs and dolmens of the megalithic necropolis or engraved rocks.
It has all the services, namely the Court. It is a town and municipality where the history of Portugal was written (ex: Battle of Atoleiros, fought on April 6, 1384, a short distance from the village - "Atoleiros 1384" is the Interpretation Center dedicated to the Battle of Atoleiros), with a very rich heritage.
Fronteira is where the 24 Hours TT has been taking place for more than 2 decades, is the starting point for hot air balloon rides, is where the Ribeira Grande Ecotourism Center, the Ribeira Grande Astronomical Observatory and the Horse Riding Center are located.
It is also in the municipality of Fronteira, in Cabeço de Vide, that the Termas da Sulfúrea (Natural Spa) is located.
In Fronteira, Gastronomy is also one of the strengths of the Alentejo Flavours Route (Rota dos Sabores Alentejanos).
Their craftsmanship is a great source of pride, using ancestral techniques, with works in cork, weaving and embroidery, horn, and colourful Alentejo painting and decoration in wood and ceramics.
This is undoubtedly an excellent investment.
This property has excellent access and is less than 2 hours from Lisbon, less than 30 minutes from the city of Estremoz and the city of Portalegre, and about 1 hour from Spain (Badajoz).
