Description

A spacious 2 double bedroom apartment for the over 60's in a very convenient location within BS9. Sold with no chain.

Overview

This spacious apartment for the over 60's is located in a very convenient part of BS9.

Abona Court was converted to over 60's accommodation in 2006, and has proved to be incredibly popular.
Set over 3 floors, there is a lift within the development so there is easy access to any of the apartments.

This particular flat is on the second floor and has some lovely views over Sea Mills and beyond.
You enter into the hallway and there is ample room here for scooters or wheelchairs if required.
There is a spacious feel throughout the flat and the living room easily accommodates sofas, chairs, dining furniture etc.
The kitchen is separate from the lounge and has some fitted appliances.

There are 2 bedrooms, both of which are good-sized double rooms, and a wet room.
There is an airing cupboard plus an additional cupboard so storage isn't a problem.

The apartment is fitted with pull cords that link to a contact centre that can contact a nominated person or emergency services if pulled.
A site manager visits once a week and is also contactable by phone .

There is a residents room which is where the coffee mornings and social events take place, as well as a communal kitchen and also an en-suite guest room (subject to availability).

Outside

There are communal gardens which all the residents can use, and these are lovely places to sit with friends and family. There are communal washing lines for drying clothes and there is also parking for residents and visitors - this is on a first come, first served basis.

Location

Abona Court is set back off Sea Mills Square on Shirehampton Road. The Cafe on the Square is a great place to have a coffee and meet with people, as is the recently opened Nightingales cafe.
There are 2 convenience stores nearby, and there are regular buses on Shirehampton Road that give access to the surrounding areas.
You are near lots of open green space including the Blaise & Kingsweston woodlands, which are lovely places to explore and get some fresh air.
Sea Mills Surgery on Riverleaze is 0.3 miles away so is very nearby if needed.

We think...

If you're looking for an apartment that allows for independent living, whilst having the comfort of knowing that additional help can be arranged if needed, Abona Court is ideal.
Having shops & cafes within sight is great, and being very close to the bus stops means you can still easily access all that the city has to offer.
