Schooling at primary level is within the village whilst secondary schooling is a short bus journey away. Public transport links are regularly available via bus whilst train links to locations such as Glasgow can be found in neighbouring Helensburgh. Being by the shorefront much of the village's leisure pursuits are water based but again can provide numerous sporting and leisure activities as well as bars and restaurants within Helensburgh for socialising.
