The views are of tranquil countryside with no neighbours to be seen.

Moving back towards the house, to the left is a small orchard and around to the front of the house we cross the narrow lane to the well, boules piste and further plots of land bordered by a fig hedge. Potential as vegetable gardens or grazing.

This little-known area of France is a real find. The Tarn is a rural department with a very unspoiled aspect. This home is not far from medieval villages full of fascinating history and inviting restaurants serving local fare. The traditional culture of music, poetry and dance is still very much alive and when you come upon seasonal events making the most of this heritage you can really feel how the south-west, the region of Occitanie, is a region apart.

Within easy driving distance of the airports at Toulouse, Castres and Carcassonne, and of several train stations, the house feels isolated but is nicely accessible.
