Description

An Immaculate Bungalow - Only A Short Stroll From The Village Hall, With An Astonishing Amount Of Space. It could be ideal if your family needs a larger than average family home, especially if granny lives with you or someone struggles with stairs.

When you drive past this property you’ll see the neat front garden and block paved drive, along with the single storey frontage. You could be forgiven for thinking this is a traditional bungalow, perfect for a peaceful retirement.

Well it certainly would be a great place to retire in style - but it has so much more to offer!

THE PROPERTY

It’s got a versatile layout with three double bedrooms (one with an ensuite shower room) and a single bedroom/study on the ground floor. There’s also a large master bedroom in the converted attic space, with fitted wardrobes and a stylish ensuite bathroom.

But it doesn’t end there.

There’s a spacious living room at the rear - making use of a substantial extension added to the main bungalow building. Full width vaulted windows look out to the gorgeous back garden and flood the room with light.

It will be a fantastic space to relax together as a family or alternatively it could be another very large double bedroom. It’s right next to a separate shower room and close to the kitchen - making it an ideal home within a home for an almost-independent teenager or an older relative.

The second spacious reception room, to the front, is currently used as a dining room. If you aren’t a formal dining kind of family, it would make a great living room.

The kitchen is modern, well-equipped and has superb sleek handleless fitted units to give it a really stylish contemporary feel.

There’s a handy utility room (with the same fitted units) for extra storage space and your appliances.

If you do have a larger-than-most family there should be no arguments or bathroom queues in the morning - with the two ensuites, the separate shower room and a luxurious part tiled bathroom (with a shower over the bath).

The property is practical too - there may not be a garage but there’s plenty of storage space on the first floor in the eaves.

STEP OUTSIDE

There’s parking for several cars on the drive at the side of the property which leads to the back garden.

The back garden has a large paved patio area and a manicured lawn, with a wooden summerhouse to make the most of the late afternoon and evening sun.

If you’re looking to throw yourselves into village life, this move-in ready bungalow that’s close to the centre Eastry village could be perfect.

POTENTIAL

You could all move in and make yourselves at home without the need for any decorating or DIY.

Then again, you may see the full potential offered by the 1,000m² (11,000 ft²) plot. There’s so much room at the side and the rear if you had ambitious plans to extend further (subject to planning permission, of course).

It could become the perfect project where you could transform this four/five bedroom bungalow into an even more spacious and versatile family home.

NEARBY

Eastry is a quiet village with an “Outstanding” local primary school, that’s less than 10 minutes walk away.

Older kids have a little further to travel to the Sandwich Technology College (rated “Good” by Ofsted) but there is a bus service taking them from the village to near the school.

Eastry has an active community and a choice of local shops, pubs and cafés that should be able to satisfy most of your day-to-day needs.

OUT AND ABOUT

If you want more choice of shops and places to eat it’s less than a 10 minute drive to Sandwich town centre.

It’s also handy if you want to hit the beach as it only takes around 15 minutes to drive to the historic Deal Pier.

Deal has a maritime buzz, but still retains its Georgian period charm, with an unspoilt seafront and the Grade II listed pier.

The kids will love exploring the nearby 365-acre Betteshanger Country Park, which has plenty of activities for all ages and fitness levels.

And if you favour walks over immaculate fairways and manicured greens, Royal St George’s, Sandwich (which has hosted 15 Open Championships, dating back to 1894) is only a 12 minute drive away.

If you need to head further afield you’re less than 5 minutes from the A256 bypass and around 8 minutes from Sandwich station, where you can hop on a train to London (which takes less than 90 minutes to reach St Pancras).

This versatile property could be perfect if you’re looking for an immaculate, larger-than-most bungalow in a popular village that’s close to both Sandwich and Deal.

On the other hand, if you’ve got the vision, the substantial 1,000m² plot means it could be turned into something even bigger and better!

Given the wide appeal to larger families (and the fact it’s a bungalow - they’re always popular), I’m expecting plenty of interest. Please call us to arrange a viewing.
