It has museums nearby, the Jurassic Museum and the Cider Museum in Nava. Cangas de Onís, the former capital of Asturias, is half an hour away and has a traditional market every Sunday.

The historic cities of Oviedo, Avilés and Gijón are less than an hour away, with the airports of Ranón (Asturias) 85 kilometers away and Santander 150 kilometers away.
