Some words from the current owner

“I love the Grand because it is an iconic Victorian building in Frinton and has a lot of history attached to it. Some very famous people have stayed here, including Winston Churchill, when it was the Grand Hotel.

I purchased it because I love the location on the seafront and the size of the rooms. The view from the flat across the Greensward to the sea and towards Clacton is beautiful.

I have made some changes since living here, having purchased 3 new Fischer electric heaters for economy and efficient heating and I have decorated it throughout.

The Frinton neighbourhood is a lovely friendly place to live, with many independent shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, most of which are dog-friendly. It is quiet and peaceful most of the year and becomes a vibrant and busy holiday destination in the warm weather.

There is a golf course, tennis club and cricket club for the sports fans. A summer theatre/cinema and jazz club for music lovers.

The train station makes it easy to access Colchester and London.

I relocated from Kent and have found it easy to settle here. This is my first home living by myself and I have enjoyed making it my own. I have made some good friends and enjoy the social side of living here. The reason I am moving is I want to move nearer to my daughter as she needs more family support.

The best thing about living here is that it feels like you're on holiday every day. Walking on the beach watching the sun rise over Walton Pier and setting over the golf course. The beach is washed by the tide every day and is ideal for building sandcastles and playing ball games. There are dog-friendly areas on the beach and the horses are allowed early mornings and late summer evenings”.

This opportunity would suit a wide range of applicants including...
- Investors looking for an over 55’s leasehold apartment
- A person looking to lease a character seafront second floor apartment
