SELLERS INSIGHT "Oakwoods, this wonderful family home my wife and I, my children and our little dog have had the luck and wonderful pleasure of being custodian's for the last 14 years, it has been an absolute joy to have live and brought up my children here, it has been a happy house with fabulous memories, I consider myself not only lucky to have found Oakwoods but also to have been able to buy Oakwoods and all the woodland with it, It was a push at the time but we did it and I'm so glad we did, originally we were just looking for the next chapter in our lives, I had just turned 50 and looked out of the window of our house in Margaretting and said Sandra let's move and after some discussion we both agree it was a good idea. After a lot of looking, we found Oakwoods and our first words were WOW look at that a beautiful house but not only a house but a house with a woodland WOW.

I have a happy smile on my face as I write this, we were so happy we found it thinking of the children playing in a wood and us with a new home, we did end up with the most beautiful and unique property in Great Notley.

In our time at Oakwoods we have improved the kitchen by opening up the dining room into the kitchen to make it a better family and friends socializing area. We have also added sharps fitted wardrobes to the main bedroom and added a new and improved en suite fitted with a digital shower. All windows have shutters, installed by Hillary's. The garden has a fantastic workshop/shed, the front of the house has very good parking and a drive that you can turn around on easily, at the back next to the double garage there are two large gates that gives access to the woodland and garden.

We have had a clean burning log burner installed with a new surround that's lovely when you have a cooler day and don't want to put all the heating on. It is also wonderful in the winter and at Christmas time which is lovely and cosy. The bonus to the woodland means you don't have to pop out to the shops to buy logs.

The woodland is such a wonderful place and a joy to own. Especially when you see the Muntjac deer, other wildlife come for the woods and visit the garden.

My wife and I have enjoyed and I know my children have loved especially my daughter when the Fawn baby deer was in the garden with the doe and buck Muntjac deer. I used to love to walk around the woods hearing all the woodland sounds, birds singing with a coffee in my hand, early in the morning in my PJ's before I travelled to London for work was wonderful.

If you like blackberries reset assured you will get some very good crops of delicious sweet blackberries that are easy to pick the Muntjac's usually go for the ones that are low down.

If you like blackberries reset assured you will get some very good crops of delicious sweet blackberries that are easy to pick the Muntjac's usually go for the ones that are low down.

I loved to see my children enjoying and playing in the woods swinging on the swing below the tree house and knowing that they are safe, I enjoyed doing an Easter egg hunt in the woods that my children absolutely loved you can really let your imagination go it was so much fun, all the woodland has good fencing around it which was also good when our little Norfolk terrier poppy would run into it.

The house has a good size double garage that now days seems to double as am extension to the Shed with bicycles and other stuff that the children and I seem to have built-up, I used to joke that one day I will be able to use the garage for it's intended use and put my car in it but alas no luck so far.

We have really good access to all roads around and schools are close, Braintree mainline station is not far and I've walked to the station many times to travel to London it's a good exercise walk, Braintree town is only a 5 minutes drive with good shopping and facilities also Braintree Freeport is also only a short drive with some excellent shops with bargains to be had, if you enjoy riding a bicycle there are some lovely places to visit and ride to like the discovery centre with it's beautiful lakes and playground areas also you can ride the flitch way and visit the old Rayne Station and stop for some lunch and and drink, I have also done lots of parking and running my friends and family to Stansted airport that only take 15 minutes from home on the A120 this has been a real plus with the ever increasing airport charges.

So it is with a heavy heart that I feel it's time for me to move on as my children are now married and have their own homes and I'm living in the house alone as my wife passed away 2 and a half years ago, at that time it was the community of neighbours that helped me through a very difficult time in my life, we also have a Maylands drive WhatsApp group that we belong to where we look out for one and other as a neighbourhood watch and sometimes we arrange a BBQ, I feel Oakwoods needs a new couple/family to once again enjoy as I have done and for myself to start a new chapter in my life.

I hope the above gives a small synopsis to my home I will be more than pleased if you would like me to show you around and point out bits on interest and where the remains of Oakwoods house are in the woods and show you some photos of this beautiful old manor house that once stood on this land as this will all be sold at the same time with the house and has it own Title Deed Number EX609712".
