Bilsthorpe is a village and civil parish in the Newark and Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire. It has easy access into Nottingham via the A614 and is near the beautiful villages of Farnsfield and Southwell. 

There are a number of facilities in the village including  – 2 pubs, butchers, hairdressers, Tesco Express, Co-op, convenience store, GP, pharmacy, library, primary school and a number of youth facilities. 

It is also in catchment for the popular Minster school. 

The village is surrounded by the Southwell trail providing walks /cycle routes to Farnsfield, Southwell, Sherwood pines, Rufford Abby.
