THE PROPERTY
1 and 2 North Hill Cottages are believed to date back over 100 years to the Victorian era, being built of mellow red brick under a clay pantile roof with later side porches added with slate tiled roofs. Both cottages come to the market for the first time in several decades and offer the opportunity, subject to the relevant building consents, to convert the pair into one large single dwelling.
They have, until recently, been successfully rented out separately to tenants and have therefore been maintained and managed, with regular boiler servicing, electric checks and the pair share the benefit of a modern private drainage system in the garden to the rear.
OUTSIDE
The cottages stand gable end on to the road with the drive giving access in front of them to a parking and turning area and the two garages. Across the drive there is a range of three former service outbuildings built at the same time as the cottages and most probably used as a wash house, bakery and store for the cottages, now affording scope to improve as further characterful separate accommodation/office space.
The grounds extend to around 0.5 of an acre with gardens to both sides of the cottages and outbuildings, which are mainly laid to lawn with shrub and tree boundaries.
