Description

Owners comments...
33 Lexington Avenue was the perfect house for us as a new couple to make into a comfortable and warm home. Now years later, our needs have changed and sadly it is time to hand over our loving home to someone else.

We have spent over four years modernising and updating throughout the house, including a new combi boiler, laminate flooring, kitchen, and carpets.

What we love most about this lovely home is the garden which is a good size for this road, includes a patio, and has allowed us to have many a social gathering in the summer.

It isn’t a surprise that the area between Lexington Avenue and Longleat Gardens used to be a rose orchard many years ago as we have a lot of roses growing in both the front and back gardens.

Apart from the lovely garden, one of the features of this house is how much natural light it offers, especially in the summer. It is also on a very quiet road and thanks to double-glazed windows, we hardly hear any traffic or noise outside. There is also an opportunity to drop the curb and create parking for at least one car in the front garden, as many of our neighbours have done.

Lexington Avenue in itself is a very friendly but calm neighbourhood. It is very convenient if you like being close to everything but don’t want to live in a busy area. There is a bus stop at the top of the road that takes you straight into town, or you can take a lovely 15-minute walk instead. The train station where you can take the Elizabeth Line direct into London or a 15mins ride to Reading Train Station, is also a short walk away. This was especially an important asset when we had to commute to London for work.

About a 5-8 min walk away along Wooton Way, are a parade of shops which include a popular chippy, Sainsbury’s, a hair salon, off-license, Indian takeaway, a pharmacy, and a greengrocer.

We are extremely sad to be leaving our home but we have a new exciting journey in another area which are so excited about. We are confident we are leaving you a welcoming home with good energy as we have done most of the big jobs that needed to be done to offer you a home to settle in and put your stamp on.

We hope 33 Lexington Avenue will bring you as much happiness as it has done for us.

Stuart's comment...

Well, what can I say over and above what the lovely owners have! You can tell how loved this home is, and it's nice that there is still potential to add some long term value by adding the driveway for example. This is a lovely home and I'm excited to show it off at the open day!

Area comments...

It's the perfect location to be a 20 minute walk to the station and town centre, without having to endure the busyness of living any closer! Maidenhead is currently undergoing a vast regeneration project with plenty of bars, boutiques and supermarkets already in place, and thanks to the excellent transportation links into London, it's fast becoming the commuter town of choice for people of all ages. Now part of the Elizabeth "Lizzy" underground line, and already offering train links direct to Paddington in under 20 minutes, as well as having access direct to the M4 just a couple of minutes away by car. Windsor, Marlow, Cookham and the neighbouring villages & hamlets are all within easy reach, as well as a wealth of country side walks and the Thames Path snaking it's way throughout the local area as well.
