Aberdovey is a peaceful seaside village situated to the north side of the Dyfi Estuary within the Snowdonia National Park, where the Dyfi meets the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Noted for its golden sand beaches and attractive harbour with sheltered anchorage for yachts, the village is popular with holiday makers as well as having a strong local community with year round social events and activities.

Aberdovey has a number of boutique shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants along with a thriving Yacht Club and historic championship golf course with a classic ‘links’ course.

The locality provides an abundance of coastal scenery, hill walking, water and sailing activities, and a number of scenic cycling routes and bridle paths.
