Where it is

If you love Ashley Cross but don’t necessarily want to be on the doorstep then the location of this property is the perfect solution. You can also walk to Parkstone train station which offers routes directly to Waterloo, London. Poole town centre and the award-winning beaches of Sandbanks are within easy reach too. At the top of the road, you will find The View Point which offers stunning views across the rooftops of Poole towards Poole Harbour and the Purbeck hills beyond.

What the owner says

“You can see on Rightmove what we started with. We have been through the house modernising the plumbing and electrics, added hot water solar, two very efficient dual fuelled fire places and modern equipment in the kitchen such as a hot water tap. During this we always made sure to keep the original charm of the house which we fell in love with for the first sight. Harbour View Road and the close is a lovely neighbourhood, people really look out for each other.

It is a happy home, we have just outgrown it, so time to move on and let new owners enjoy it as much as we have.

The gardens front and back are well established, and have a variety of different trees and plants and even a tiny little self sustaining fish pond in the middle of the low maintenance sedum lawn. The Indian bean tree is stunning in the summer, a giant flowering orchid it could be said. The back garden is exceptionally quiet and it is backing on a little woodland area which is hardly used by it's owners.

The kitchen & master suite are the stars of the house and the basement is the hidden gem with a little walk-in pantry and a gym or office room. You won't find space like this in any new build. The loft too is very useful providing a large amount of extra space for storage. Lots of little character throughout, stain glass (only windows not double glazed). We never planned to move, so someone will be lucky as we always invested in this house for the long term.”
