  1. What attracted you to the property when you bought it ?

In 1991 when we bought the house, we fell in love with the view from upstairs. There is a panoramic sea view, Marine Court and Beachy Head in distance.

The close proximity (walking distance) to Ore local shops and Hastings Country Park (Firehills).

The size and layout of rooms spacious.

The house has plenty of light coming in because of big windows.

Geographical position to Hastings town centre and Rye and close proximity to Ore railway station.


  1. What improvements have you made to the house ?


We added a large conservatory to the back of the house.


Upstairs we altered the then open balcony to a glazed unit sun room to enhance the bedroom and be able to enjoy the views in all weather.

Replaced kitchen units and appliances.

Electric roller shutter to the double garage.

Remodelled the driveway to accommodate multiple vehicles.

Insulation throughout loft.


  1. What have you enjoyed about living there ?
It has been a good family home and a good space for entertaining friends and family, inside and out in the garden.

We've enjoyed many hours of walking in the Country Park with our dogs and we have been blessed with good neighbours who are also friends.
