Key features

  • After sixty five years here it's time to move on and for a new family to make their own memories.
  • Enjoy the 'Good Life', with the plot stretching to approx. 150ft in length there is a workshop, greenhouse and shed as well as space for a vegetable patch perhaps.
  • Whilst clean and tidy, this bungalow would suit someone with the imagination and flair to update and modernise it.
  • There is certainly scope to extend too, the neighbouring semi has gone both up and out, so this could be a very long term home.
  • Waitrose and all the other fantastic amenities at the Locks Heath Centre are just under half a mile away so all really convenient if you fancy a stroll or in easy reach by car.
  • If you're planning for the future and need schools, Park Gate Primary and Brookfield Secondary are both within easy walking distance.

Description

Having been owned by the current owner since new in the late 1950's it is now time for a new family to make this semi-detached bungalow their home. Whilst a bit dated, the property has been well cared for so you could move in and live quite happily while you make plans.

Set back off the road with a low wall to the front the tarmac driveway extends some 97' down the side of the property giving plenty of parking and leading to the timber garage/workshop. The front garden is paved with shingle areas for ease of maintenance. The front porch is the perfect spot for any deliveries and opens into the reception hall beyond which has a useful storage cupboard built in. The main bedroom has a lovely bay window and enjoys a view out to the front garden, bedroom two currently hosts a long run of wardrobes and the two rooms share the shower room. There is space should you wish to reinstate a bath, the room is fitted with a white suite and the walls are fully tiled.

The living room is a good size and has a deep chimney breast, the current gas fire is disconnected. An arch leads into a study area to the front of the bungalow, originally this was the third bedroom and could easily be so again. To the rear is a sunroom which has timber cladding to the walls and ceiling and sliding doors out to the garden. The kitchen is fitted with white units and work tops with space for freestanding appliances. The central heating boiler has been annually serviced by British Gas. Off the kitchen is the rear porch with door out to the driveway at the side.

The plot overall is approx. 150' (45m) in length and the rear garden has a southerly aspect with a paved patio area, well-tended lawn and shrub borders. There is a large greenhouse as well as a garden shed to the rear of the garden.

This is a very convenient location being less than a half mile level walk to the Locks Heath Shopping Centre and a similar distance up to Park Gate shops, with buses running to Southampton and Fareham from Locks Road around the corner. The current homeowner now requires assisted living so whilst there is no forward chain will require some consideration while they find the right place.
