This great house is situated a stone's throw from the edge of town, where there is direct access to a great network of mountain footpath. Hiking trails through the forest and up into the Montagne Noire will take you to endless numbers of beauty spots, lakes, viewpoints and secluded walks or mountain bike trails. To explore further afield, a short drive will take you to the other side of the mountains where the scenery changes abruptly to a Mediterranean landscape as it rolls down to the sea. On the way, there are fascinating villages, castles, ruins, vineyards, countless secret gems tucked into the folds of the hills.

For lovers of the outdoors, Mazamet really is a great base. There is access from here to superb climbing, caving, kayaking, trail running, hiking, fishing and horse riding, to name just some of the activities with clubs and associations based in the town or nearby.
