I moved into the Kings Cross in September 1999 because my new job was in Stevenage and commuting from Kings Cross was a dream. When looking at accommodation I was knocked out by the view from the Ice Wharf penthouse. I soon realised that there was a good community spirit which has got even better over the years. Also over the years, the Kings Cross area has improved beyond measure. Firstly the area west of York Way and then into the area North of Kings Cross. It has transformed the area with stylish new amenities and transport improvements.
By 2004, leaseholders were well on the way to acquiring the freehold of the buildings. By 2007, every leaseholder owned one share in the Ice Wharf Company Limited and the Board instructed the managing agents, controlling costs. Around 2014, leases were extended to 999
years. This put leaseholders in a strong and enviable position. In 2024 the view from the apartment is still incredible, the amenities in the area continue to improve and transport links continue to improve.
