Description

A charming and well-presented two bedroom house for sale in the popular area of Stratford. With simple, bright decoration, the property has an airy modern feel and is in perfect move-in condition. Set between Stratford and Forest Gate, the property is close to fantastic amenities, leisure facilities and travel links.

This well maintained property sits on a quiet residential street, retaining its external architectural charm, highlighted by its mullioned bay window.

As you enter, you’ll be struck by the bright and airy feel of the main reception room, with its pristine white walls and abundant natural light from the large bay window, complemented by the light oak engineered timber floor.

The contemporary feel is mirrored in the second reception room which looks out to the rear garden and has space for a dining table and storage furniture – or could be used as a second sitting room or study.

The stylish galley kitchen has an extensive range of gloss white base and wall cabinets with modern chrome handles. Work surfaces are light stone-effect, matching well with the stone-effect floor tiles and white tiled backsplashes, and there’s an integrated oven plus gas hob with extractor. A large window looks out to the garden, and beyond the kitchen a small lobby offers more storage, along with access to the bathroom and garden. The bathroom is well designed and appointed with a WC, vanity unit with inset basin, bathtub with glazed shower screen. The small courtyard garden has been well tended and features smart paving, tall secure fencing and attractive planting.

On the first floor there are two bright double bedrooms which follow the simple white theme, both fitted with light grey carpet to continue the modern look while providing a calm, cosy feel.

The property is located centrally between the lively areas of Stratford and Forest Gate with their exceptional array of amenities. The impressive Westfield Shopping Mall is within easy reach, with around 400 retail and hospitality options, including John Lewis, Honi Poke Hawaiian restaurant, Tap East Brewpub and the Lokma Turkish restaurant, as well as entertainment venues such as a Vue cinema and Aspers Casino.

West Ham Park with its sports facilities, play areas and ornamental gardens is just a two minute walk and Wanstead Flats, Hackney Marshes and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are all close by.

Few areas can boast better transport links than Stratford with Maryland Elizabeth line station around 10 minutes’ walk, nearby Stratford station offering tube and overground services, Stratford High Street offering DLR and bus services and Stratford International around 15 minutes on foot.

Sellers comments. My wife and I have lived in Tavistock for 3 lovely years and we are only leaving because one of us has a new job in Cambridge. The property is a classic Victorian terrace with all that entails -- high ceilings, thick walls and nary a right angle to be found!

Thanks to those thick walls the soundproofing in the house is excellent and it is very rare to hear anything from the neighbours. Speaking of which. The neighbours (not only next door but also across the road) are wonderful and I can honestly say the best we’ve ever had in London! They are considerate, friendly and helpful if we are in need, like sharing their wifi password when ours was down, or running out of the house to help when they see you struggling. This gives the house and road a wonderful community vibe.
