Pilar de la Horadada is the last town on the Costa Blanca it is ideally located close to the safe, sandy beaches of Torre de la Horadada, Mil Palmeras and El Mojon.

Pilar de la Horadada is a lively traditional Spanish town with a large amount of amenities lining the high street, with the bonus of the beautiful church square dotted with coffee shops and bars. It is a shoppers paradise with one off boutiques, pastry shops, cafes, restaurants, wine bars and even several large supermarkets.

The golf course of Lo Romero is a short 5 minute drive or alternatively drive 20 minutes to enjoy one of the many golf courses on the Orihuela Costa. The large sports area situated a short walk from the high streets provides a great selection of sports facilities including a heated indoor pool, football pitches, bowls green and much more.

With the building of "The Rambla" in recent years it makes the town easily accessible to the beautiful beaches and amenities of Torre de la Horadada by foot. Originally built to carry excess flood water away to the sea during rare heavy downpours, it has been designed as a beautiful 3km walk/cycling route with local art installations along the way. This gives a safe place for locals to walk, run, cycle meaning there is always families enjoying the space and often heading to one of the many beach bars in Torre de la Horadada for coffee, wine or even lunch.

Pilar town hall organises many activities for the locals throughout the year including concerts, giant paellas and BBQ's, Halloween parties, Easter parades, Carnaval parades, Three Kings (Spanish Christmas celebrated on the 6th January) and a full week of fiestas in October which include live music, street parties and events for all the family. They will close the high street to traffic and all the locals will join together for a celebration.

Also part of the Pilar de la Horadada municipal area is Mil Palmeras, this is a popular seaside resort with sandy beaches, rocky coves and plenty of beach facilities and water sports. The local town hall runs many beachside activities all year round such as beach basketball, pilates/yoga and children activities.

Murcia International Airport and Alicante Airport are both around a 45 minute drive, there is a great local bus service with links to Torrevieja, Murcia and the beaches of the Orihuela Costa.
