You’ve got a choice of unspoiled beaches all less than half an hours drive away, or the north shore of Bassenthwaite is only 25 minutes drive (or a 75 minute bike ride) away.

And if you like heading out into the countryside, you can be in the open fields in only a couple of minutes, whether you’re driving, cycling or heading out for a run.
