Description

Buying Nearly New Makes So Much Sense If You’re A Stylish Modern Family Looking For A Stylish Modern Home. This immaculate 2021 four bedroom detached is on a popular Washington Homes estate and is still in superb showhome condition. Property ref: KD0516

This is a fabulous modern home on a family-friendly development on the outskirts of Wigton.

It was built by local developer Washington Homes, who take pride in building high quality, well designed family homes.

But no matter how good the developer, when you buy new there’s always a few little annoying snags to deal with.

Thankfully when you buy nearly-new they’ve all been taken care of - in this case by the current owners who’ve had it since it was first built.

Another advantage of buying nearly new is you’ll be moving into an established and vibrant little community on the estate, rather than living on a building site.

The ground floor has a stylish fitted kitchen (with a breakfast bar and space for a small dining table) at the rear, along with a handy utility room and a w/c.

Another advantage of buying nearly new is the garden is a little more exciting than a patch of bare mud or turf.

The current owners have really looked after it, turning it into a lovely low maintenance space with a small lawn and a paved patio area.

The spacious lounge is at the front of the house, a quiet place where grown ups can escape to relax.

Upstairs there’s the four piece family bathroom, with both a bath and shower.

There’s three spacious double bedrooms (one with an ensuite shower room) and a decent sized single bedroom that would be ideal for a home office or nursery.

Woodside Park is a lovely modern development that’s become popular with young people and families.

On the edge of Wigton it's handy if you need to nip into town. Jump in the car and you can be parking up in the town centre in five minutes.

Wigton has lots to offer, with plenty of local shops, pubs and cafés. There’s a Lidl, a swimming pool and the John Peel theatre (named after the local huntsman, not the  DJ).

Regular trains run throughout the day from Wigton station (which is only a 12 minute walk away) to Carlisle, Maryport and Workington.

If you have younger children, Thomlinson Junior School (rated “Good” by Ofsted) is just over 20 minutes walk away or 5 minutes in the car.

Older kids have a little further to travel to get to the “Outstanding” The Nelson Thomlinson School but it’s still less than a 10 minute bike ride away.

This is an immaculate family home on a popular new development where you can move in and make yourselves at home. When families move here they tend to stay a while, so there’s only been a small number of properties coming back onto the market in the last few years.

If you don’t want to miss out on this one call, me to arrange a viewing.
