The land at East Maviston is bisected into two separate parcels either side of Lochloy
Road and extends in total to about 25 acres. The land that lies to the south of the
public road was planted with Nordmann fir’s between 2008 and 2012 and provides an
incoming purchaser with the opportunity for immediate income from the sale of large
Christmas trees that remain across the land. The land that lies to the north of Lochloy
Road was planted at a later date to the remainder of the property and does not form a
commercially viable crop of Christmas trees. The land is Classified as Grade 3(2) land
by the James Institute and may be reverted back to agricultural, subject to consent.
