Owner's Comments...

We bought the house in 2009 because we loved that it looked so different from all other properties in the area. We saw this house as our forever home to raise children in after marriage.
This house is a unique plot with no neighbours either side of the house.
We redeveloped the house in 2015 adding a second floor on the side to make space for child number 2, changing from a 2 up 2 down to 4 rooms upstairs. We put in a much needed utility room with underfloor heating. The two bedrooms downstairs were used as a playroom for the kids and a study, but were also originally used as a nursery and a bedroom.

During lockdown, we redesigned the kitchen to change the layout and let in more light, we decided to spend more on quality for the kitchen to make it last longer. We put in a wine cooler and a hot tap. The worktop is beautifully crafted from solid stone.
Also during lockdown we chose to add a new front door and hard wearing tiles in the hall way.

We also relayed the patio tiles and gave more space to relax in the garden. This was very much enjoyable and catches the sun all day.
In 2022, we built a much needed outdoor work space for the new work from home world.
All in all we have made this house into a spacious home where everyone has their own area. We are looking to relocate to be closer to family and we have very much enjoyed the memories we made in this home. We hope another family will be able to make new memories here.

Wychwood sits towards the head of Chapel Lane cul-de-sac, and the house itself backs onto Newbold College grounds so feels lovely and private all around, and is a gentle 10 minute stroll into the village centre or to Popeswood Meadow with over 14 acres to explore. Binfield Village is such a sought after location with its array of cafes, takeaways, local businesses, Church and a wonderful and welcoming sense of community with events put on throughout the year. The larger town of Bracknell is only 5 minutes away by car, and Wokingham, Maidenhead & Twyford are around 15 minutes in the other direction. Binfield is also home to many lovely country pubs, and despite it's expansion with new houses built around the fringes, remains a lovely little village with a huge amount of green space and countryside surrounding it.

The current owners have done an absolutely lovely job in extending this home since they bought in 2009 - the rooms and the space you get are so versatile. There's potential to create downstairs bedrooms, or extra reception rooms and the addition of the garden room just adds further to the useable space and rooms there are here, something I am seeing so many families requiring these days. You're greeted with stone tiled flooring in the entrance hall which seamlessly follows into the kitchen and utility room, and the kitchen with bespoke granite worktops and big dining space really is the heart beat of this home. There's so much to show you here, and so many ideas to throw round to show you how much potential this house still has to be a home for many many years to come!
