Have you ever wanted to be the 'Host with the Most'....well if you have, and you love the idea of having your loads of friends over for a summer BBQ, or all of your family around to celebrate Christmas day with you, then this really is the perfect NewHome 4U.
Bryn Goleu is located on Mold Road in Mynydd Isa, sat back from the main road and is approached via a wide brick gateway that opens onto a full width tarmac driveway, capable of parking numerous cars on it.
There is also an attached garage sitting to the right of this beautiful home, that is slightly set back from the main drive. A hedge and wooden fence panels set the borders for the house and also help to muffle any road noise.
Approaching a house like this is always like a mystery, it looks similar to other properties along the road, but delve inside, and this is where the similarity ends!
Red brick countered with white uPVC windows present as a classic look with a modern style that is replete along this road.
Through the beautiful black front door with ornate lead-patterned and textured double glazing which all help to keep it nice and bright, you enter into the central hallway. Hardwood floors lead through the house with a carpeted staircase sitting just to the right.
To the left you find a gorgeous, yet subtle Study, or if you are lucky enough to work from home, then it's an ideal office space. Grey wood effect floors and stone coloured walls with a white ceiling and a wide window to saturate the room with light and give it a fresh clean finish.
At the head of the hallway, the wooden floor ends and the stone tile begins, opening into one of the best kitchens I've ever had the fortune to step into.
If you, 'like me', want a kitchen not to be just a cooking area, but to become the hub, the life and soul of the home, you want it to become a social space to spend time with friends and family, a room where you can chat away the wee hours and to catch up on the days events with your nearest and dearest....then this is one kitchen that ticks all of those boxes!
This one has been vastly expanded upon through a large, two storey extension that spans the width of the house, which has then in turn been extended upon again, off the back of the dining space.
As you take your first steps into the kitchen, you enter into a modest hub space. A squared archway frames the cooker and a window looks out across the large rear garden. A door to the left leads into a utility area, where you'll find a handy toilet and a large cupboard space, with room for the washer and dryer as well as the boiler.
But as you step through the archway, the kitchen opens out left and right into a beautiful, wide and generous space. On the left stands a stunningly modern, yet elegant kitchen and to the right is the dining area. Sandstone tiles stretch the full span opening the room up and reflecting the light around, diffusing the room with cozy warmth. A big five ring hob with hotplates and oven set, sits central in the kitchen with a wide splash back and extractor unit sitting in contrast to the crisp white surroundings
There are plenty of floor and wall mounted white cabinets, ample worksurfaces are topped with midnight blue granite that line the walls and all finished off at an L-Shape, which helps to section the kitchen off with a handy breakfast bar.
Your friends or family can all sit around the breakfast bar having a brew or a nice glass of wine (depending on time of day) whilst keeping you company as you create some culinary masterpiece!
At the far end of the kitchen is the dining area, offering plenty of room for a large table with plenty of chairs. The kitchen is so big that you can accommodate a very large family, or loads of friends for dinner parties, Christmas, Birthdays, Yom Kippur, Thanks Giving, Hanukkah.....whatever the celebration, I'm pretty sure this will be the house that everyone will want to come to celebrate it in!
Now, the magic of this space is that you can have EVEN BIGGER parties, as to the front of the dining area, double doors open into the front lounge and to the rear is another set of doors which open into a large second lounge or sun room, which then have Bi-Fold doors opening into the rear garden and patio area..
This whole area, with all the doors that open up, gives a huge sense of space and open flow, but yet can be separated into its different separate rooms very easily, if required!
So, imagine all your friends or family have gathered around for a BBQ to celebrate an event or even just to have a good old knees up. In a conventional home, that would be a very cramped party, but here, you'll need a big family to even make a dent! With the doors open into sunroom and also the lounge, you have a huge flowing space for everyone to mingle, and that's without being shoulder to shoulder.
The front lounge is furnished with a log burner, ideal for those cold winter nights where you can cosy up, sit and chat. There's ample space for a large corner sofa or a three piece suite to lounge about on and just shoot the breeze!
The rear sunroom is just as big, and with the high ceilings and skylights, gives you a wonderful space to do as you please. Space to entertain or just sit and enjoy, that's the beauty of a 'home like this', it's versatile, to use as you want.
The Bi-Fold doors open up out on to the patio, where you can look out over a beautiful, long and wide, South facing garden that's been beautifully framed with ever greens and perennials. So, as the BBQ sizzles with tasty treats and the conversation flows on the gorgeous patio, the kids can be running around or playing footy on a sun-soaked lawn. At the rear of the garden, are a couple of useful sheds and behind them, are some trees with even more space behind, but how much garden do you need, this will keep you nice and busy
After all that, I think there are a few more boxes ticked off!
Back into the house and to the central hall, we then head up the stairs to the landing. With gorgeous wooden doors that lead off on all sides to your sleeping quarters, at the head of the stairs stands an airing cupboard with shelving for your linens and towels.
To the right, we find two angled doors leading to the first two bedrooms. The first looks over the front yard through a wide window that illuminates this mid-sized double bedroom splendidly! Ample space for a double bed and some wardrobes and cabinets, to make a cozy room to settle down for a peaceful nights sleep!
The other bedroom looks out of the side of the house. It's a larger room with space for a double bed and storage, which still catches plenty of light from the wide window. It comes with its own very handy, en-suite bathroom.
There's a standing shower cubicle, a toilet and a pedestal wash hand basin, topped with an inbuilt shelf for your toiletries. A tiled floor and tiled shower cubicle, all add to the easy cleaning.
The next room along is the third bedroom. This sits to the left of the staircase and again, looks over the front of the house. It's not too dissimilar to the first bedroom, with good space for a double bed and storage and is another bright room that comes with its own en-suite toilet sitting over the top of the stairs.
This time it comes with a toilet and sink and has two windows. One comes from the outer wall to let the natural light in, the other from the inner wall to help spread the light into what would have been a dark hallway, had some genius not had the foresight for this rather nifty design!
Next room along is the family bathroom. With floor to ceiling white tiles, this is a wide room that comes with all the usual suspects. A pedestal sink stands just inside the door, while a P-shaped bath and shower stand to the right of the room. There's a frosted glass window to help diffuse light around the room, reflecting off the crisp white tiles! A heated chromed towel rail helps keep it nice and toasty in here.
Now, we come to final room of the house. At the end of a short corridor, through the solid oak door, you enter into the main bedroom....and what a touch of class this room is! If Carlsberg made bedrooms, I think they'd probably make them 'like this'.
It's a wide room that spreads across the width of the home, with ample space for a king-size bed and still plenty of space for a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. A set of double doors open to reveal a Juliette balcony, all of which help pour light into the bedroom, whilst offering views over your domain.
Now, you won't need to worry about having enough wardrobes and drawers as, to the right hand side of the bedroom, a set of double doors open to reveal your very own walk-in dressing room. High standing cabinets, drawers and hanging rails run from the outer wall around to cover two walls of the room, with a space left under the window for a dressing table. It has a very 'New York Penthouse' feel to it, yet doesn't come with the outrageous price tag. And the splendour of this bedroom still isn't complete....
Just inside the bedroom door, to the left side of the room as you walk in, is a door into your en-suite bathroom. Larger than most people's main bathrooms, this is a very elegant and decadent bathroom, it's another plash of that luxury that doesn't break the bank.
Immediately inside the door is a wet-room shower behind a curved glass screen with floor to ceiling tiles. White floor tiles lead into the rest of the bathroom, where Sandstone tiles climb half the height of the walls. You are presented with a freestanding roll-top style bath with chromed claw-feet, a toilet and a vanity cabinet with 'His and Hers' wash hand basins.
