There are many country walks and rides around the Elham Valley and adjacent to the house. This scenic locality affords some of the most attractive countryside on the North Downs well away from major roads and housing development.
The village of Elham is very pretty with a square and parish church, pubs, restaurant and shops. There is a cricket green, tennis courts, primary school and many community activities along with regular bus services to Folkestone and Canterbury.
